National Party Principles

1. The National Party believes that the territory of Ireland consists of the whole island of Ireland, its islands and the territorial seas

The National Party is committed to pursuing Irish unity, as well as defending Irish territorial seas from foreign encroachment.

2. Revival of the Irish language

The National Party supports the complete revival and restoration of the Irish language as the primary spoken language of the Irish people.

3. Opposition to Mass Immigration and a Commitment to Remigration

The National Party supports the ending of all mass immigration into Ireland. Further, we support a positive policy of remigration in order to secure Ireland as the homeland of the Irish people.

Central to this commitment to remigration is the Party’s focus on encouraging and incentivising the return of exiled members of the Irish nation, as well as primarily utilising the diaspora as a source for any potential labour shortfalls.

4. Insistence on the Rights of the Unborn Child

The National Party affirms its commitment to the protection of both the Irish mother and the unborn child. We will restore full protections to the right to life of the unborn child in our constitution.

5. An Adversarial Approach to the EU

The National Party supports building a Europe of free nations, in which European Nations cooperate to regain sovereignty which, as members of the EU, has been eroded over the decades.

In pursuit of this the National Party would explore all available options, including withdrawal from the EU in its entirety.

6. Nation Before State

The National Party believes in the primacy of the Irish Nation. The State should at all times be subordinate to the nation, and never act against its interests.

7. Monetary Reform

The National Party supports immediate withdrawal from the Eurozone and the restoration of an Irish currency with the aim of regaining monetary sovereignty.

We support the creation of an independent Irish national bank with the sole responsibility for the issuing of a new debt-free currency outside the usurious system of international finance capitalism.

8. A Constitutional Republic

The National Party believes in the principle of a Constitutional Republic, founded on the God-given freedoms, rights and duties of each individual in the national community, believing that this is the most suitable foundation of the State for the Irish people, as envisaged by the signatories of the 1916 Proclamation.

9. Criminal Reform and the Restoration of Capital Punishment

The National Party demands a simple and total reform of the criminal justice system to protect the innocent and to punish the guilty, up to and including the restoration of the death penalty for heinous crimes.

10. Indigenous Enterprise, Home Ownership and Private Property

The National Party believes in free productive enterprise and reward for fair labour. We staunchly believe in the right to private property and home ownership. We oppose both communism and international finance capitalism.

11. The Empowerment of Local Government

The National Party believes in the principle of subsidiarity and is therefore opposed to the centralisation of government bureaucracies at the cost of local interests. We believe that power should be exercised at the most local level appropriate.
